The suspect was 27 years of age when he first met the victim in 2014. The suspect and underage victim initially encountered each other at a Pennsylvania church, where the suspect reportedly served as a youth group leader.

According to authorities, the suspect was a father figure to the female victim. Over time, he allegedly took advantage of his position by getting the juvenile victim to have sex with him.

The victim was just 15 years old when the suspect sexually assaulted her. According to Morris County NJ prosecutors, the victim was a virgin.

Now the suspect is headed to prison after pleading guilty to one count of sexual assault. The suspect reached a plea agreement with prosecutors and pleading guilty to the sex crime in exchange for a recommendation that he be sentenced to seven years in New Jersey State Prison.

When the suspect finishes his term of incarceration, he will also have to register as a sex offender in accordance with Megan’s Law.

The suspect is a 31-year-old man who lived in Franklin Lakes and served as a behavioral therapist for young children. In his professional capacity, the suspect sexually assaulted at least eight kids under the age of 13.

The suspect allegedly committed the sexual offenses between 2011 and 2015 in different parts of New Jersey, including Lafayette, Ringwood, Verona, Wantage, and West Milford.

Although the suspect reportedly did not have an official license to be a behavior analyst, he advertised his services online. He also had a license that allowed him to serve as a marriage and family therapy counselor in NJ.

The suspect’s plea deal with Sussex County prosecutors called for him to surrender his professional licenses and serve 10 years behind bars.

The plea agreement also included a guilty plea to criminal charges for health care claims fraud.

However, the suspect allegedly neglected to notify local police departments in either municipality about his change in residences. According to authorities, the suspect sent inappropriate “sexts” to the minor between January 2013 and June 2013. Law enforcement officials also said that the suspect sent sexually explicit photos to the student and may have engaged in illegal sexual actions “occurring on and off school grounds.”

The suspect was arrested in 2014 and charged with multiple sex crimes, including sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child. She also faced criminal charges for official misconduct due to her role as a teacher in a position of power over the juvenile student.

The suspect managed to avoid trial by reaching a plea agreement with Morris County prosecutors and pleading guilty to the charges for child endangerment.

Now the suspect is on her way to NJ State Prison. Under the terms of the plea deal, the suspect was sentenced to five years behind bars.

A judge later approved the plea deal and sentenced to suspect to one year in jail and four years of probation.

The suspect will also have to undergo mental health counseling for an undetermined amount of time after he completed his jail sentence.
