Hanover Township police detectives are actively investigating the case. According to officials, the suspect is a “chubby” man between the ages of 50 and 60. New Jersey State Police recently released a sketch of the sex crime suspect.

If authorities are eventually able to identify and capture the suspect, he could be subject to criminal charges for sex crimes like sexual assault and luring.

Netcong Sexual Assault ChargesA man is headed to prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting an underage girl in Netcong and Mount Olive, NJ.

The suspect is a 34-year-old resident of Mount Olive in Morris County, New Jersey. He was placed under arrest in October 2016 after the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Netcong Police Department investigated him for alleged sex crimes. Investigators determined that the suspect sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl over a period of seven years at locations in Netcong and Mount Olive, New Jersey.

The suspect reportedly resided in the same home as the victim for at least two years and functioned in an “adult supervisory role.”

The suspect was charged with numerous sexual offenses, including aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment.

A Morris County grand jury indicted the suspect on multiple counts of sexual assault. He later reached a plea deal with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office pleaded guilty to just one count of second degree sexual assault.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office is expected to recommend that the suspect be sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison at a sentencing hearing in September.

The suspect may have served as the victim’s guardian at the time of the sexual assault, so he could be subject to an investigation by Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P).

The suspect is a 74-year-old resident of Morris Township, New Jersey. He previously served on the Morris County Board of Elections.

According to authorities, the suspect was caught with DVDs that featured images of child pornography. Law enforcement allegedly found the illicit sexual videos at the suspect’s residence in Morris Township, NJ.

According to authorities, the suspect was a father figure to the female victim. Over time, he allegedly took advantage of his position by getting the juvenile victim to have sex with him.

The victim was just 15 years old when the suspect sexually assaulted her. According to Morris County NJ prosecutors, the victim was a virgin.

Now the suspect is headed to prison after pleading guilty to one count of sexual assault. The suspect reached a plea agreement with prosecutors and pleading guilty to the sex crime in exchange for a recommendation that he be sentenced to seven years in New Jersey State Prison.

When the suspect finishes his term of incarceration, he will also have to register as a sex offender in accordance with Megan’s Law.
