Parsippany New Jersey police are searching for a man accused of committing an assault in a driveway on Route 10.
The violent incident went down around 6:25 p.m. The Parsippany Police Department sent officers to Route 10 after getting a call about an attack in a driveway along the highway.
When Parsippany NJ police officers got to the residence, they came across a man who had sustained physical injuries. The 29-year-old victim spoke with officers and said that he had been attacked. The suspect reportedly punched the victim in the face and abdomen while the victim walked from his house.
The victim was taken to Morristown Medical Center, where he received medical treatment for his injuries.
Parsippany police are currently investigating the incident. Investigators have yet to identify a suspect in the attack.
If police can eventually identify and arrest a suspect, the culprit would probably face serious criminal charges for aggravated assault or simple assault. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1(b), anyone who commits an assault resulting in serious bodily injury can be charged with a felony-level offense. A conviction on aggravated assault charges could lead to prison time.
