Police in Denville NJ recently arrested a man and charged him with possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms.
Police allegedly discovered the illegal drugs in the 25-year-old man’s home when they responded to a report that he was having mental problems. When officers arrived at the house, they reportedly found the suspect in an altered state.
The police officers also reportedly discovered a large quantity of illegal mushrooms in the home. Authorities later identified the mushrooms as Psilocybin Mushrooms.
It is believed that the suspect was illegally growing and manufacturing the mushrooms.
In addition to seizing the drugs, police also seized equipment that was allegedly used to manufacture the drugs.
The suspect was arrested and charged with several drug offenses, including possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute a CDS, and drug paraphernalia possession.
