Newark NJ Heroin Possession LawyerA 29-year-old Dover woman was arrested in Newark, NJ after police allegedly found her in possession of a large quantity of heroin.

Essex County sheriff’s officers were on patrol in the South Ward of Newark when they allegedly observed the suspect illegally backing a Honda Accord onto the street.

The officers pulled over the suspect and discovered that she was allegedly driving with a suspended license.

The officers ordered the suspect out of the car and allegedly saw a “large bulge” in her pants pocket. According to authorities, a later search of the suspect resulted in officers finding 100 glassine envelopes of heroin stuffed in a cigarette package.

The suspect was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to distribute. Due to her location near Weequahic Park and a school on Dayton Street, the suspect also faces enhanced charges of possession with intent to distribute in a school zone and possession with intent to distribute near a park.

The suspect was also cited for several motor vehicle violations.
