Police recently arrested at least 15 people who were reportedly connected to a drug distribution operation in Rockaway Township and other parts of Morris County, New Jersey.
Law enforcement officials started an investigation into the alleged drug network after getting several tips about illegal drug dealing in Morris County, Bergen County, Sussex County, Warren County, and Passaic County.
Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force detectives spent more than a month investigating the operation and utilized wiretaps to get evidence of illegal drug sales.
According to authorities, one of the suspects, a 23-year-old man from Elmwood Park, made daily trips throughout New Jersey to deliver heroin and crack cocaine. The suspects allegedly distributed the illegal narcotics in Rockaway Township, Jefferson Township, Newton, Elmwood Park, and Paterson.
Several suspects arrested by police face charges for multiple drug offenses, including distribution of heroin and distribution of cocaine.
Additionally, the Elmwood Park NJ suspect has been charged with a weapons offense because police officers allegedly found him with a .22-caliber handgun at his home.
