Mount Olive Assault LawyerA man from Budd Lake NJ was accused of using a baseball bat to commit an assault in Mount Olive, NJ.

According to authorities, the attack occurred outside of a 7-Eleven on Route 206. Mount Olive NJ police received a report of a fight at the convenience store. When officers arrived at the scene, they saw the 27-year-old suspect sitting in a car; the car was parked across the street in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot.

The officers spoke with witnesses at the scene and determined that the suspect and the victim were acquaintances who had been involved in a disagreement.

The suspect allegedly first tried to confront the victim at the victim’s house. Later, the suspect reportedly saw the victim in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven; he confronted him in the parking lot and allegedly struck him with a baseball bat. According to police, the victim suffered an injury to his leg.

Police placed the suspect under arrest and charged him with several criminal offenses, including aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and harassment. The suspect was also charged with drunk driving (DWI), reckless driving, and driving while suspended.

After being placed under arrest, the suspect was transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility in Morristown, NJ. The suspect was being held at the facility in lieu of $20,000 bail.
