Court is held every Wednesday at 5 p.m. The violation bureau is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Madison Municipal Court handles criminal offenses and traffic offenses arising out of the borough of Madison in Morris County, New Jersey. The criminal offenses handled by this court are non-indictable disorderly persons offenses and petty disorderly persons offenses. Any indictable criminal offenses must be handled by the Morris County Superior Court in Morristown, New Jersey. The Madison Municipal Court also hears traffic offenses such as speeding, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving while intoxicated (DWI).
