Roxbury New Jersey DUI LawyersRoxbury New Jersey police arrested a 20-year-old woman who is accused of driving under the influence of drugs caused a major car accident.

The three-car crash occurred on Route 10 West. A Nissan Altima which had come to a complete stop on the highway was suddenly slammed into by a Hyundai Veloster.

According to law enforcement, the Hyundai Veloster had been struck by a 2008 Mercedes. It is believed that the suspect was the driver of the Mercedes which caused the pileup.

Authorities also believe that the suspect was under the influence of drugs when the accident occurred. There is reportedly evidence to suggest that the suspect made no effort to slow down her car prior to making contact with the Hyundai.

After the crash, the drivers of all three vehicles were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The suspect and the driver of the Hyundai were then taken to St. Claire’s Hospital in Dover NJ so that they could receive additional medical treatment.

While the suspect was receiving treatment at the hospital, Roxbury police investigated the accident. Police officers who conducted the investigation eventually determined that the suspect was responsible for the crash.

Roxbury police later placed the suspect under arrest. She has been charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and assault by auto in connection with the car accident.

The suspect also faces charges for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a syringe because police officers allegedly discovered drug-related items inside her vehicle.

The suspect lives in Flanders, which is an unincorporated community located within Roxbury, New Jersey.
