Morris County NJ DYFS LawyersJefferson New Jersey police arrested a Lake Hopatcong man accused of child neglect for allegedly dropped his baby on the floor of his residence.

The suspect is a 25-year-old man from Lake Hopatcong, NJ. According to law enforcement officials, the suspect dropped his infant child on the ground at his house in Jefferson Township, NJ. The scary incident happened on February 16, 2017.

The victim was later rushed to the Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. Doctors in the hospital’s pediatric intensive care unit treated the victim for bleeding in the brain.

The suspect spoke with police and initially said that he did not know how the baby suffered the injuries. However, Jefferson Township detectives later saw a social media post on Facebook and learned that the suspect allegedly dropped his child.

The suspect has been charged with multiple crimes, including child endangerment and aggravated assault.

It is also likely that the suspect will be subject to an investigation by DCP&P.

After being arrested and processed, the suspect was moved to the Morris County Correctional Facility in Morristown, NJ.
