Morristown NJ Murder LawyersA Morristown New Jersey woman was reportedly murdered by her son in North Carolina.

According to North Carolina authorities, the 58-year-old woman was killed by her 34-year-old son. Law enforcement said that the suspect murdered his mother before going on to also murder his 28-year-old girlfriend.

The killings happened at separate residences, both of which are located in Cary, North Carolina.

The suspect’s mom was a Morristown, New Jersey native who lived in NJ until July 2014, when she made the decision to move to NC. She was said to be employed as a realtor in North Carolina.

The suspect, who also previously resided in Morristown, as well as New Brunswick, has been charged with two counts of murder.

If the suspect is ultimately convicted on the murder charges, he would be subject to significant penalties that could include life imprisonment or the death sentence.

According to officials, the suspect called police shortly after the homicides and said that he committed both murders. Not long after that, Cary NC police apprehended the suspect.

After being arrested, the suspect was taken to the Wake County Public Safety Center in Raleigh, NC so that he could be processed.
