The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with aggravated assault and child endangerment a short time after the homicide in April 2015. When the child died, the assault charges were upgraded to first degree murder charges.

After being arrested and charged, the suspect was transported to the Morris County Jail in Morristown, NJ. He has been at the correctional facility for the past nine months on a massive $1 million bail amount.

The suspect’s high bail amount was recently maintained when a judge rejected the suspect’s bail reduction request.

During the bail review hearing in a Morris County courtroom, Morris County NJ prosecutors said that the suspect killed “a defenseless little boy.”
