Pequannock police officers are looking for the people responsible for burglarizing 12 vehicles in just one night.
The car burglaries were perpetrated late at night in the Village section of Pequannock, New Jersey. All of the burglarized cars had been parked along Brookside Avenue in Pequannock.
According to authorities, the suspects gained access to the parked motor vehicles and committed theft crimes.
The victims later notified police and said that their wallets, cell phones, and other electronics had gone missing. (Police investigated and reportedly found some of the victims’ emptied wallets on front lawns in the area.)
Pequannock police detectives are actively investigating the car burglaries and theft, but they have yet to identify any of the culprits.
According to Pequannock law enforcement, the cars that were broken into had been left unlocked. Pequannock police are cautioning local residents to make sure to lock their cars. Moreover, Pequannock police have asked residents to take their valuables with them after parking their cars.
