Boonton Township police officers apprehended a local man who was reportedly wanted by law enforcement for criminal acts.
The suspect is a 38-year-old man who resides in Boonton Township in Morris County, NJ. According to authorities, the suspect was wanted by police and had a number of outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Boonton Township police detectives were aware of the warrants and tried to locate the suspect so that he could be brought to justice. Police eventually got a tip that the suspect might be staying at a local residence, so they dispatched officers to the home.
When Boonton NJ police officers arrived at the residence, they allegedly found the suspect attempting to hide in the attic.
Police arrested the suspect without incident and transported him to Boonton NJ police headquarters so that he could be processed.
The suspect has been charged with an additional crime: hindering apprehension.
After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was remanded to the Morris County Jail in Morristown, NJ.
