Florham Park Criminal Defense LawyersA man from Florham Park NJ received probation after pleading guilty to charges of criminal sexual contact with two juvenile girls.

The suspect is a 20-year-old Florham Park resident. He had been accused of sexually assaulting two underage females on multiple occasions.

The mother of one of the victims, a 15-year-old girl, alerted the East Hanover Police Department earlier this year, prompting a major investigation into the suspect. A number of different law enforcement agencies worked together on the investigation, including the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the Florham Park Police Department, the East Hanover Police Department, and the Hanover Police Department. Investigators eventually determined that the suspect had sex with the underage girl several times in Florham Park and East Hanover, NJ.

Investigators also reportedly discovered that the suspect had sex with a 13-year-old girl in Florham Park and East Hanover.

The suspect was initially charged with a number of sex crimes, including four counts of sexual assault and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

The suspect eventually managed to avoid a trial by reaching a plea deal with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. The suspect pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of criminal sexual contact; in exchange, Morris County NJ prosecutors agreed to recommend that the suspect be sentenced to probation, not prison time.

The sentence of probation was recently imposed by a Morris County Superior Court judge. The suspect will have to abide by the terms of his probation for a period of two years or risk going to prison. Additionally, the suspect will also be required to register as a convicted sex offender under Megan’s Law.
