A Franklin Lakes NJ special education teacher who was previously convicted of sexually abusing children has now had his professional licenses revoked in New Jersey.
The suspect is a 31-year-old man who lived in Franklin Lakes and served as a behavioral therapist for young children. In his professional capacity, the suspect sexually assaulted at least eight kids under the age of 13.
The suspect allegedly committed the sexual offenses between 2011 and 2015 in different parts of New Jersey, including Lafayette, Ringwood, Verona, Wantage, and West Milford.
Although the suspect reportedly did not have an official license to be a behavior analyst, he advertised his services online. He also had a license that allowed him to serve as a marriage and family therapy counselor in NJ.
The suspect’s plea deal with Sussex County prosecutors called for him to surrender his professional licenses and serve 10 years behind bars.
The plea agreement also included a guilty plea to criminal charges for health care claims fraud.
