Lincoln Park NJ Rape AttorneysA Lincoln Park, New Jersey man faces sexual assault charges after he allegedly raped a woman who had gone to his house in order to get a haircut.

According to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the 33-year-old suspect committed the sex crime against the victim after she went to his residence for a haircut and styling.

At some point during the hair appointment, the suspect reportedly engaged in non-consensual sex, including penetration, with the victim.

The victim later reached out to Lincoln Park NJ police and said that the suspect had raped her. Detectives conducted an investigation and eventually placed the suspect under arrest.

The suspect is charged with multiple sex crimes, including sexual assault and criminal sexual contact.

As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2, sexual assault is typically classified as a second degree felony. If the suspect is convicted of second degree sexual assault, he could potentially be sentenced to 5-10 years in NJ State Prison.

The Lincoln Park Police Department and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit are conducting a joint investigation into the rape allegations.
