Madison NJ Lewdness AttorneysMadison New Jersey police recently arrested a man accused of exposing himself to children at a local playground.

According to authorities, the sex offense was committed at Dodge Field, a playground located on Greenwood Avenue in Madison, NJ.

The 68-year-old suspect, who resides in Madison, allegedly sat in the playground area at the park and showed his genitals to children.

The Madison Police Department got several calls about the incident and quickly sent police officers to the scene. Police investigated and, a short time later, were able to locate the suspect walking a block away from the park.

The suspect was arrested and charged with lewdness and disorderly conduct.

If the suspect is ultimately convicted of the most serious lewdness charges, he will face significant penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:14-4, lewdness can be classified as a fourth degree felony. A conviction on fourth degree lewdness charges could lead to a sentence of up to 18 months in NJ State Prison.

After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect secured his release from police custody. He will have to appear in Morris County Superior Court in Morristown to address the charges.
