Mendham NJ Sexual Abuse AttorneysA woman who used to teach at a Mendham NJ drug and alcohol treatment center has been sentenced to probation on sex crime charges.

The suspect, a 30-year-old resident of Pompton Lakes NJ, formerly worked as an art teacher at the Daytop Village treatment facility in Mendham, NJ. She was worked at the facility in September 2014 when she sexually touched an 18-year-old resident showed nude images of herself to a 17-year-old resident.

In 2014, law enforcement learned about the sex crimes and arrested the suspect. The suspect later reached a plea deal with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. The suspect pleaded guilty to one count of criminal sexual contact and one count of child abuse, with Morris County prosecutors agreeing to recommend a sentence of probation.

The suspect recently appeared in Morris County Superior Court, located in Morristown NJ, for a formal sentencing hearing. The superior court judge sentenced the suspect to two years of probation and ordered her to surrender her NJ teaching license.
