A man who was ordained as a priest in Mountain Lakes NJ was recently placed under arrest and charged with sex crimes after allegedly groping a juvenile girl in Boonton Township, New Jersey.
The suspect is a 37-year-old man who got ordained on July 1, 2017. He was assigned to serve as Parochial Vicar of Saint Catherine of Siena Church in Mountain Lakes, but he lost the assignment after being accused of the sex crime.
According to Morris County law enforcement officials, the suspect put his hand underneath the young victim’s skirt and told her, “You’re sexy.”
After an official police investigation, the suspect was arrested and charged with criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.
The suspect was later taken to the Morris County Jail in Morristown, New Jersey. He eventually secured his release from the correctional facility in advance of pre-trial hearings.
