Rockaway Child Porn Possession LawyerPolice in Rockaway Borough NJ recently arrested a man accused of distributing child pornography.

The 63-year-old Rockaway Borough resident first became a suspect in 2011. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reportedly tipped off authorities about the suspect’s alleged illegal conduct

Shortly after being notified of the suspect’s alleged conduct, authorities began an investigation. The subsequent investigation included the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes / Child Endangerment Unit and the Rockaway Borough Police Department.

The long-term investigation ultimately convinced authorities that the suspect had illegally possessed and distributed child pornography. The Morris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Section then placed the suspect under arrest.

After being arrested, the suspect was charged with second degree distribution of child pornography and fourth degree possession of child pornography. Both charges are considered child endangerment crimes. If the suspect is convicted on the second degree endangering the welfare of a child charges, he could be subject to a sentence of 5–10 years in NJ State Prison.

Prosecutors have yet to make public any information about the format of the alleged child pornography.
