The Mountain Lakes Police Department is actively investigating a string of car burglaries and vehicle thefts.

Many of the car break-ins and thefts have involved luxury cars that were parked in residential driveways. The suspects allegedly targeted the expensive motor vehicles during the early morning hours when the owners may have been asleep.
