Over Memorial Day Weekend, traffic officers in North Jersey issued 735 summonses, arrested 11 people, and impounded 45 vehicles.
In what has become an annual tradition, several North Jersey law-enforcement agencies joined forces to promote safe driving and reduce reckless driving. New Jersey state police, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department, and police agencies from Bergen County, Essex County, Morris County, and Passaic County formed a task force that conducted an aggressive enforcement sweep on I-80, I-280, I-287, Route 3, Route 21, Route 46, and Route 208.
