East Hanover NJ Robbery LawyerPolice are looking for a man believed to have robbed a Babies “R” Us store on Route 10 in East Hanover, NJ.

Authorities said that the robber approached store employees who were locking up for the night and forced them back inside. Armed with a handgun, the suspect allegedly forced the workers into a back room before taking a large amount of cash from the store safe.

According to Morris County CrimeStoppers, the suspect was later seen at a nearby business. Additionally, authorities reported that the suspect was seen in the passenger side of a white Honda with tinted windows.

Officials released a description of the suspect: he is a black male who stands roughly six feet tall and has a thin build. On the night of the incident, he wore a black sweatshirt, a black stocking mask, and blue jeans that were torn in the front.

As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:15-1, armed robbery is a particularly serious offense. If the suspect in this case is apprehended, he could face first degree armed robbery charges. A conviction would subject him to a possible term of incarceration of between 10 and 20 years in NJ State Prison.

CrimeStoppers has asked that anyone who knows the identity of the robber or who has information about the incident contact the tip line at 973-COP-CALL. A $1,000 cash reward has been offered to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest or an indictment.
