Madison NJ Aggravated Assault AttorneysPolice in Madison NJ captured two people who allegedly robbed a person during a drug deal gone bad.

The theft incident went down a short time before 6:30 p.m. According to authorities, the suspects setup a drug deal at a location near Madison Avenue in Madison, New Jersey.

When the 20-year-old victim showed up at the prearranged location, the suspects reportedly assaulted him and took an unspecified amount of pot from him.

After the attack, the victim dialed 911 and alerted the Madison Police Department. The victim then gave police a detailed description of the suspects.

The Madison Police Department and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Section worked together on the subsequent investigation.

Madison NJ police canvassed the area and tried to locate the suspects. Police officers eventually came across the car reportedly used by the suspects to drive to the drug transaction.

The two suspects, a 22-year-old Morristown man and an 18-year-old Scotch Plains NJ woman, were found by police a short time later.

The male suspect was arrested and charged with multiple crimes, including robbery and aggravated assault. The female suspect also arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.

Madison law enforcement indicated that more charges could be pending in the case.

After being placed under arrest and processed, the male suspect was moved to the Morris County Correctional Facility in Morristown, New Jersey. He was being held at the jail on a $5,000 bail amount. Meanwhile, the female suspect was released on her own recognizance.
