Roxbury NJ Armed Robbery AttorneysPolice arrested a Lake Hopatcong NJ man accused of assaulting and stealing from two men at a motel in Roxbury Township, New Jersey.

Police officers were dispatched to the Roxbury Motel on Route 46 after Roxbury police received a 911 call about an incident at the motel. When the officers arrived at the scene, they found the two victims.

According to the victims, the 26-year-old suspect assaulted them and then stole a laptop computer from their room.

The victims told police that the suspect knocked on their door and informed them that he had to speak with them immediately. When the suspects opened the door for a moment, the suspect allegedly punched both of them in the face.

The suspect then allegedly stole a laptop. Before exiting the room, the suspect allegedly brandished a knife and verbally threatened the victims.

Police issued a warrant for the suspect’s arrest. When Roxbury police were unable to find the suspect, they notified Jefferson Police; the suspect’s father lives in Jefferson, NJ. Sometime later, Jefferson police found the suspect at his father’s residence.

The suspect was arrested and charged with a number of criminal offenses, including robbery, terroristic threats, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and hindering apprehension.

After being processed, the suspect was transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility in Morristown, NJ. He is being held at the jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
