Mendham Township police released surveillance photographs of the suspects in several recent burglaries.
Police departments in three neighboring municipalities – Mendham Township, Morris Township, and Chester Township – received reports of at least five different burglaries in one week.
Three of the homes, located in Mendham Township and Morris Township, were reportedly burglarized in just one night. The other burglaries occurred a few nights later in Chester Township, with the burglars gaining access to the homes by forcing open the front doors.
Authorities hope that the release of surveillance images of the suspects will lead to a break in the investigation.
Authorities are also hopeful that the public will heed the warning and take steps to protect against burglaries in the future. Police have asked local residents to lock their doors and keep a few lights turned on when they leave their residences.
Police have also suggested that anyone who spots a suspicious individual or vehicle in their neighborhood please do the right thing and report it immediately.
