Mount Olive New Jersey police arrested a woman accused of stealing packages from the lobby of an apartment building.
According to authorities, the suspect took several items from a common area at the Overlook at Flanders apartments. A building resident notified the Mount Olive Police Department after reportedly noticing her name on a package that had been left in the recycling bin outside the complex.
Mount Olive NJ police conducted an investigation into the possible package theft and talked to several residents.
When police spoke with the suspect inside her Mount Olive apartment, they reportedly saw multiple items that had been stolen from the common area.
At some point, the suspect reportedly admitted to law enforcement that she stole the packages. She was then placed under arrest.
The suspect, a 45-year-old Mount Olive woman, faces criminal charges for theft of movable property and receiving stolen property.
After being arrested and processed, the suspect secured her release from police custody on her own recognizance. She will have to make a court appearance at a later date in order to address the criminal charges against her.
