Police in Kinnelon NJ recently caught a Wayne NJ man suspected of burglarizing several area homes.
The 25-year-old suspect is accused of breaking into homes in the East Lake and Fayson Lakes sections of Kinnelon.
According to police, the suspect gained access to the homes by entering through rear doors and windows. Once inside, the suspect reportedly took money and jewelry.
A number of law enforcement agencies collaborated on the investigation into the robberies. These agencies included the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the Kinnelon Police Department, and the Pequannock Police Department.
Once police apprehended the suspect, he was charged with a number of criminal offenses, including burglary, theft of movable property, and receiving stolen property. He was also charged with drug crimes, including possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
If the suspect is ultimately convicted of the burglaries, he could face significant penalties. That’s because burglary is classified as a third degree felony and is punishable by a sentence of 3–5 years in New Jersey State Prison.
After the suspect was arrested, he was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility in Morristown. He is currently being held there on $75,000 bail.
