Roxbury NJ Armed Robbery AttorneysRoxbury NJ police are searching for the man who committed an armed robbery at a local gas station along Route 46.

The robbery took place around 10:30 a.m. at the Roxbury New Jersey gas station. According to law enforcement, the suspect was wearing all-black clothing, as well as a hat, when he walked into the gas station and approached gas station workers.

The suspect allegedly flashed a weapon when he ordered the gas station employees to hand over money.

Once the suspect had the cash, he ran out of the gas station and fled the scene on foot. Roxbury police officers arrived at the scene a short time later, but the suspect was long gone.

Roxbury police officers searched the area after the theft. Additionally, a Morris County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit assisted in the investigation.

Although the Roxbury Police Department is currently investigating the robbery, investigators have not identified a suspect.

Police have not yet revealed the precise type of weapon the suspect brandished during the robbery. Police have also not yet revealed how much cash the suspect allegedly stole.

Police recently released a description of the suspect. The suspect is described as a male who stands 5-feet-3-inches tall. Witnesses also told police that the suspect carried a backpack at the time of the robbery.

If police are eventually able to identify and capture the suspect, he would like face severe penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:15-1, anyone who carries a deadly weapon while committing a theft can be charged with a first degree criminal offense. A conviction for first degree armed robbery could result in a sentence of 10-20 years in New Jersey State Prison.

Depending on the circumstances of the alleged robbery, the suspect could also be charged with various weapons offenses.
