Police in Parsippany NJ are looking into a trio of car break-ins which occurred on the same day.
According to police, the thefts took place at daycare facilities in Parsippany, NJ.
The first theft occurred at the Learning Experience, which is located on Parsippany Boulevard. A 33-year-old Fredon Township woman alerted police that someone had broken into her 2011 Audi. The thieves allegedly stole the victim’s Coach purse from the front seat of the car.
When the theft occurred, the victim was dropped her son off at daycare. Since the victim was in a bit of a hurry, she did not lock her vehicle doors.
The second incident happened a few minutes later at the Bright Horizons, which is located nearby on Dryden Way. A 37-year-old Denville NJ woman contacted police to report that someone had smashed the driver’s side window on her 2013 Subaru. The culprits then allegedly stole the victim’s Coach purse from the vehicle while the victim was taking her kids inside the daycare facility.
The third incident happened several hours later at the Apple Montessori on Simpson Avenue. A 39-year-old Morris Plains woman contacted Parsippany police to report that someone had burglarized her car while she dropped off her child at the daycare center.
The culprits allegedly got away with the victim’s purse, iPad, and Kindle Fire.
The Parsippany Police Department is actively investigating all of the alleged thefts. Police have asked that anyone with information about the break-ins please call investigators at 973-263-4311.
