A Parsippany New Jersey man was recently ticketed for traffic violations after allegedly crashing into a local sanitation worker.
The motor vehicle accident happened just after 11:30 a.m. The suspect is an 88-year-old man from Parsippany, NJ. According to law enforcement officials, he was driving a 1999 Toyota Camry along Lake Shore Drive when he approached the intersection with Marcella Road and hit a Parsippany NJ garbage truck.
The victim was a 63-year-old employee with the Parsippany Department of Sanitation. He was reportedly walking back to his garbage truck when the suspect crashed into him.
Afterwards, someone dialed 911 and emergency medical crews rushed to the scene. The victim was briefly treated for his accident-related injuries and then moved to Morristown Medical Center. Doctors at the Morristown hospital treated the victim for pain in his hip.
Meanwhile, Parsippany NJ detectives investigated the pedestrian accident and ultimately decided to cite the suspect for careless driving.
