Pequannock Eluding Police ChargesPequannock law enforcement is attempting to find a man accused of eluding police and failing to stop after committing a traffic violation.

The suspect was allegedly operating a red Kawasaki bike and traveling northbound on Route 23 North in Pequannock NJ just before 5:00 p.m. A Pequannock patrol cop spotted the suspect committing a traffic offense and tried to pull over the suspect’s bike. According to law enforcement, the suspect refused to stop the motorcycle and instead continued driving on the highway.

The Pequannock officer followed the suspect to Route 287 but eventually lost him. The suspect was last seen driving north on Route 287.

Detectives with the Pequannock Police Department are currently investigating the incident and attempting to determine the suspect’s identity.

If police can eventually identify and capture the suspect, he would probably be charged with eluding law enforcement.

Pequannock detectives have asked for the public’s help with the investigation. Anyone with information about the motorcyclist should call authorities at 973-835-1700.
