A 23-year-old Dover man was arrested and charged with twenty (20) motor vehicle complaints including two for drunk driving (DWI) related accidents. The first accident was a three car accident and was reported to police around 2 a.m. Then, while police were investigating the previous hit and run, they were notified of an additional five car accident in the neighborhood. When police arrived to the scene of the second accident, they found the defendant unconscious in a 1996 Plymouth Voyager. The vehicle had extensive damage from the alleged multiple accidents. Upon further investigation, the police determined that the driver was not the owner of the vehicle and had taken the vehicle from a local party without the owner’s consent.
According to the Neighbor News article, Dover edition, “Dover Police reported he was charged with two counts driving while intoxicated, unlicensed driver, reckless driving, leaving the scene of crash, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and multiple other motor vehicles summonses.”
